Water Availability

1. Port Augusta has sought to reduce its reliance on water from the Murray River and re-cycles wastewater. This provides water to the majority of the City's parks and gardens and is not suitable for drinking.
2. Water can be obtained from any of the caravan parks or motorhome park when staying overnight. If travelling through Port Augusta some of the Petrol Stations will allow you to access water when fuelling - check before purchasing fuel. 
3. If you require drinking water, it is available from retailer outlets. For smaller personal use you could fill up your water bottle at the bottle filling station in Gladstone Square in the CBD
